The National Ambulance Memorial Service takes place in the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. The arboretum is free to visit and is open every day except Christmas Day.

Exit at Junction 28 and take the A38 south bypassing Derby and Burton to the A513 Tamworth. Follow brown signs to site entrance.
Exit onto M6 north then after Corley Services, follow signs for M6 (Toll) & M42. Leave at next junction (Junction 9 M42) signposted A 446, then follow A446 Lichfield to A38 Lichfield, then A38 Derby to A513 Tamworth. Follow brown signs to site entrance.
Exit Junction 15 and follow A50 Derby then A38 Lichfield to A 513 Tamworth. Follow brown signs to site entrance.
Follow signs for M6 (Toll) & M42, then leave at next junction (Junction 9 M42) signposted A 446. Follow A446 Lichfield to A38 Lichfield, then A38 Derby to A513 Tamworth. Follow brown signs to site entrance.
Leave M6 at Junction 11, follow A5 then A38 Derby until A513 Tamworth. Follow brown signs to site entrance.
Leave at Junction 1 and take A460 Cannock passing over M6. Continue towards the A5 (Tamworth), then A38 Derby until A513 Tamworth. Follow brown signs to site entrance.
Parking is available for cars, coaches and motorcycles on the main car park off Croxall Road, just past the Arboretum entrance. The car park next to the visitor centre is reserved for blue badge holders, although coach and car drop-off points are available.
Please note that all parking is pre-booking only. There are no pay and display facilities at the site. You can pre-book your parking here.
All monies from parking fees are given directly to the British Legion charity who run the venue and this helps ensure the National Memorial Arboretum remains a free entry site.
TASC will provide tea, coffee and cake to attendees following the end of the service. Attendees will also be able to purchase a wide range of hot and cold meals, snacks and beverages at the NMA’s restaurant facilities throughout the day.
The car park next to the visitor centre is reserved for blue badge holders, although coach and car drop-off points are available. There will be buggy shuttles available for those attending with mobility difficulties to get from the Chapel of Peace to the Ambulance Memorial Garden and back to the visitor centre.
Due to the pandemic, the 2020 service was delayed until 2021.
The first National Ambulance Memorial Service took place in 2004 to coincide with the opening of the new ambulance memorial garden at the arboretum.
