Richard (Ricky Powell) started delivering milk to the ambulance station in Chertsey as a young boy. He was always interested in joining. Ricky joined as soon as he could on patient transport and then joined front line. He soon became a paramedic. He worked in several different areas of the trust along with time in control and scheduling. He progressed to a team leader and did everything possible for his team. He almost completed 35 years of service, the ambulance service was his life, he enjoyed it.
He was a larger than life character, who loved telling jokes. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.

Ricky…. We are all so proud of you! You would love just how many people have expressed how much you meant to them. You were an amazing man, and we love and miss you every day. We are proud to call you our big brother. Until we meet again, Pete & Lyn, Tina & Rob, Jason and Steve xxxx
