Paula joined the ambulance service in 2016, after retiring from a long career in nursing. She joined the service after finding retirement was not for her, and wanted to continue to offer her knowledge and skills to care for our patients.
Paula was a charismatic and popular member of staff amongst all grades of staff, that brought a lot of laughter into the work place.
She was sadly diagnosed with ovarian cancer in December 2018, and successfully beat it, moving into remission, sadly for all of 3 weeks, and in November 2019 it returned.
Paula was incredibly proud to wear her green uniform and loved coming to work, not only to offer the care she was so proud of giving, but to be part of our Trust family.
