Kaylee Garrick, a UK ambulance worker, has once again created a fundraising calendar featuring photos of her well-posed Shetland sheepdogs to raise money for the national charity.
For the second year running, Kaylee, a Scottish Ambulance Student Paramedic from Shetland, has created another stunning fundraising calendar featuring photos of her own furry friends in the stunning Shetland scenery as well as inspirational quotes. The calendars are loved by dog fans across the world including America, Canada and Australia, and the first batch of 150 calendars sold out in just eight minutes!
Kaylee, from Scalloway, has been taking photos of dogs since she was 10 years old and taking photographs of her first dog, Flint. However, when Flint died from bone cancer in 2007, Kaylee put her camera down. That changed in 2011 after a friend suggested Kaylee should look at a litter of puppies and she fell in love with Fenton, who remains one of her star models – and her love of photography was also rekindled
Kaylee said:
“It’s funny to think at the beginning of this year when Covid hit, I genuinely didn’t think we were going to be able to create enough photos to complete a calendar, but we’ve worked really hard to bring most of the ideas to life.
It’s been a significantly difficult year for everyone, but I like to think we’ve managed to reflect the enduring strength and positivity that people have shown in most of our photos. My workmates are like my extended family and I’m extremely proud that all the funds raised from these calendars will help TASC to support my colleagues and fellow ambulance staff from across the UK when they’re struggling.”
TASC is a midlands-based national charity that provides mental, physical and financial wellbeing services to the UK’s ambulance staff, their family members and ambulance service volunteers. More information about TASC’s services is available at: www.theasc.org.uk/services-we-offer
This year’s calendar shows models Fenton, Thiago, Thorin, Gimli, Murphy, Ghost, Daenerys and Jara, in various poses, costume and locations around Shetland including a pirate theme and a special Christmas theme.
In 2019, Kaylee’s calendar raised £1,000 for TASC and she has already smashed her target this year with sales already reaching £2,500.
The calendar is currently on sale for £10.00 (plus postage and packaging) on TASC’s website: www.theasc.org.uk/charitycalendar. Product numbers are limited and the charity is encouraging people to buy early to avoid disappointment. All proceeds from the calendar sales will go towards providing vital support to care for those who care for us.

Purchase your calendar now!“We’d like to thank Kaylee so much for her continued support. These adorable calendars are incredibly popular and by purchasing one not only are you getting a fantastic gift, you’re also helping TASC continue to support the UK’s vital ambulance staff – just £60 could pay for an ambulance staff member to receive an hour of counselling if they’re struggling with their mental health, or a session of physiotherapy if they’ve been injured in the line of duty.
The last year has been incredibly difficult for everyone, but none more-so than our frontline workers. Ambulance staff represent the very best of us and at TASC we’re here to help them during their time of need so that they are healthy, strong and ready to be there for us when we need them.”
