Ambulance staff do a bloody hard job; they deal with trauma and make life and death decisions every day.
Their job is physically and mentally strenuous. But they’re not superheroes and sometimes they need our help too. This year we have launched our first fundraising campaign to highlight the great work they do and how you can help to support them.
We are The Ambulance Staff Charity (TASC), and we are devoted to improving the lives of people in the ambulance community. With our range of services, we take a holistic approach so we can best help people in their time of need. But we need your support to continue our services – please donate today and help us change lives for the better.
Every week, we see people experiencing stress and PTSD as a result of their work. It’s estimated that 22% of ambulance staff have PTSD. And 50% of paramedics have musculoskeletal pain or discomfort on a regular basis. Our physical rehabilitation services support recovery so that the ambulance community can get back to the job they love.
