Payroll giving is a great way to donate to TASC. It gives us a reliable source of income to help us plan for a future where we can continue to support ambulance staff, their families, and ambulance service volunteers when they need it most.
Payroll giving (also known as Give As You Earn or GAYE) is a highly efficient way of giving. If you sign up to a payroll giving scheme, a donation will be deducted from your salary or pension before you’re taxed. This means it costs you less to help us.
You decide how much you would like to give TASC every pay day. There is no upper or lower limit. HMRC makes up the remainder of the donation at no cost to you. If your circumstances change, you can always reduce or increase your donation and its frequency.
Here are some examples of what donations would cost you in take-home pay:
Some employers also offer ‘matched giving’ schemes where they match or double a donation at no extra cost to you.

I injured my back only two months after I had qualified and I was gutted that I couldn’t be out on the road practicing my skills. The longer it went on, the worse I felt. I did everything I could to aid my recovery and nothing worked. My mental wellbeing was suffering and at a particularly low point, I decided I had to do alternative duties.
My Clinical Mentor told me that TASC may be able to help, so I got in contact with the team and they offered to send me to a Police Treatment Centre to aid my recovery. I’m so glad they did! The facilities were first class and the staff were wonderful. The other patients at the centre also had similar injuries and it was so nice to have people to talk who knew exactly where you were at.
Since returning home I am the best, physically, I have ever been since my injury. I never expected to be sent to such an amazing facility and it has absolutely assisted my recovery progress. I am more confident than ever that I will eventually be able to return to my frontline duties rather than looking for an alternative career, and it’s all thanks to TASC.
Payroll giving is one of the easiest and most effective ways to raise money for charity. You can register your company through an HMRC approved Payroll Giving Agency (PGA) such as:
The agency will guide you through all the necessary steps to complete your registration and will answer any questions. Once done, your employees should complete a Payroll Giving Form, specifying their chosen charity and donation details.
