By running the Virgin Money London Marathon for TASC, you can help change the lives of ambulance staff and their families, like John’s.
While working as a paramedic, John was in a serious road traffic accident when the ambulance he was driving collided with a lorry coming around a bend on the wrong side of the road. Among his many injuries, John’s leg was shattered, and he needed seven surgeries to help repair the damage.
To help his recovery, TASC arranged for John to receive physiotherapy at a residential treatment centre as well as counselling support for John’s wife, Sarah, who had witnessed the crash scene.
The London Marathon is a must-do for any runner, and whether you’re a veteran or this is your first marathon, our dedicated team will make it an incredible experience from start to end.

- why you want to run for TASC
- how much you think you will be able to fundraise
The deadline for expressing your interest is the 7th December 2018. A TASC panel will review all the expressions and we will notify the successful runner by the 17th December 2018.
Please note that by applying to run for TASC in the London Marathon, you are agreeing to the following if your application is successful:
- paying a £50 registration fee
- having a minimum fundraising target with lots of training and support from our Fundraising Team
- allowing TASC to publicise your run if you are successfully chosen
