Big ‘G’, the gentle giant, a gentleman full of integrity.
Witty, caring, thoughtful, conscientious. A man who dedicated 40 years to the Welsh Ambulance Service, and loved his job with a passion and dedication that was second-to-none. Progressing from patient transport driver to paramedic with BSc (HONS), Gareth worked across many regions of South Wales, progressing to L.A.M, Divisional Commander, L.A.O, Production Manager and acting Regional Director for South East Wales before spending his last years closer to his young family, in the H.A.R.T. resilience team. He was a highly respected, incredible chap, who always had time for his colleagues, supportive and nurturing, always fighting the better cause; he didn’t suffer fools gladly! He has left an irreplaceably enormous void in our lives, but the memory of his wicked laughter and tremendous personality live on in his children. We love you always Gareth xxx
