Tributes
From Morgan Winckle
I would first like to begin by highlighting what type of man my grandad was, he was stern but fair. He always led with his heart and was driven by his family, this is why my grandad took his job very seriously. Not only was he the head of our family but his morals where unmatched, when he was feeling rough and a day off would be suggested my grandads exact words was “I know but they rely on me, it’s not just my colleagues but what about the people who are depending on me delivering their medical tests, I’ll be okay” and this just speaks to his character. My grandad was a family man, and religiously had his grandchildren every single weekend. My childhood along with my 3 other siblings was filled with nothing but happiness because of this man and of course our beautiful mum. He played the role of our best friend, our confidant, our super hero and most importantly our first ever love. My grandad has left a huge whole in our family and even a year and a half on we are still learning to accept and live without him. This is a very brief description of my grandad, there are so many things I could say I could write a book. My grandad worked the same job for 24 years almost all my life… what a legend he was. Rest in perfect peace grandad all our love your heartbroken grandchildren, Morgan, lexie, Craig and Leo xx
