We want to share with you the results of your amazing generosity in 2025.
This is how we supported the ambulance community last year.
Mental Health Support
Ambulance work exposes staff to repeated trauma. The psychological impact can be profound — but with the right support, recovery is possible.
- 520 clients accessed mental health support
- 1,723 therapy sessions funded
- 85% reported an improvement in their mental wellbeing
- 63% reduction in trauma symptoms
Our counselling team also began training in a new specialist approach to supporting clients living with trauma and PTSD, strengthening the quality and effectiveness of our support.
For every £300 raised, we can fund six counselling sessions — giving someone the professional support they need to begin healing.
Our 24/7 Crisis Line
When someone feels they cannot go on, immediate support matters.
- 1,242 calls answered (1,478 including anonymous calls)
- 381 callers experiencing suicidal ideation
- 547 CAMS interventions delivered
In addition, we delivered 547 CAMS sessions (Collaborative Approach to Managing Suicidality) — a structured, specialist intervention for those experiencing suicidal ideation.
Financial Wellbeing Support
Financial stress can significantly impact mental health — particularly following injury, illness, or time away from work.
- 67 clients received financial advice and guidance
- Clients accessing financial services were on average £770 per month better off
In just two quarters in 2025:
- £25,754 secured in arrears
- £11, 508 secured in benefits
Average income increases of £702–£975 per month for supported clients
Physical Rehabilitation
Seven ambulance staff injured at work were supported with intensive rehabilitation at the Police Treatment Centre — helping them regain strength, mobility, and independence.
Early Intervention & Staying Connected
- 438 clients registered on our Rightsteps online wellbeing platform (Q1/Q2)
- 237 clients are currently using the OurPulse app, allowing us to stay connected while they are on our waiting list
These tools help us provide support earlier — often before crisis point. Ambulance staff spend their careers caring for others. When they need care themselves, your support ensures we are there.
In 2026, we remain committed to delivering specialist, confidential and compassionate support — and to being transparent about how your money is spent
Thank you for standing with the ambulance family.
