TASC will benefit from money raised by the inaugural Larrey Lecture.  Celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the birth of Dominique Jean Larrey, 17th century military surgeon, acknowledged by many as the father of modern day ambulance service.

Professor Douglas Chamberlain CBE, KSG, will be presenting the lecture at the Royal Society of Medicine in London.  The world famous British cardiologist, founded the first paramedic unit in Europe in 1971 which revolutionised pre-hospital clinical care said “I will be talking about the history of the ambulance service, where it is now, with many problems, how I see things evolving and how I think it should evolve.
