TASC, The Ambulance Staff Charity, is proud to announce the latest addition to their financial wellbeing services with the launch of their new Financial Wellbeing Clinics to support the UK’s lifesaving ambulance community.

From 1st July 2020, beneficiaries can book a 45-minute session with TASC’s Money Advisor in the confidential biweekly clinic to receive a free benefits check and information on other support they may be eligible for.

Angie Crashley, Wellbeing Support Manager, said:

“Over 1 in 4 people we support need help with their financial wellbeing and as a result of Coronavirus, many people we’re currently speaking to are struggling with their finances due to them or their partner being furloughed or made redundant.  Knowing what support you’re entitled to can be a bit of a minefield, and quite frustrating, especially if you’re in financial difficulty. With our new clinics, our in-house expert will make the process as easy as possible.”

Dan Squibb, Operations Director, said:

“Working in the ambulance service is getting harder by the day, and demand for our support is growing. In 2019/20 our financial wellbeing interventions were up 49% on the previous year and this will only continue to grow as a result of the recent pandemic. TASC is dedicated to supporting the UK’s ambulance community in their time of need and this brand new online service is just one more way we’re providing a helping hand and listening ear to ambulance staff and their loved ones.”

The Financial Wellbeing Clinics are the latest addition to TASC’s financial wellbeing services which also include:

  • Advice and support on budgeting and dealing with creditors
  • Identifying and applying for other avenues of support on behalf of beneficiaries
  • Financial grants during times of exceptional need

TASC also offers mental health and physical rehabilitation services to support the ambulance community. For more information about TASC’s services, visit: www.theasc.org.uk/services-we-offer
