Blue Light Brawl Raises £4,000 for Emergency Service Charities

The Blue Light Brawl proved that teamwork doesn’t stop at the station doors. The charity boxing event brought together members of Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue, East Midlands Ambulance Service, and Lincolnshire Police for a night of friendly but fierce competition — all to raise funds for three vital emergency service charities.

The event raised an incredible £4,000, which has been split equally between The Ambulance Staff Charity (TASC), The Fire Fighters Charity, and Care Of Police Survivors (COPS).

The night was the result of months of hard work by Lincoln South Blue Watch, led by Dave Richardson from Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue, who spearheaded the event planning since February.

Of the 17 fighters who took part, only two had any prior boxing experience — but every one of them trained tirelessly to improve their fitness, strength, and resilience in preparation for the big night. Tickets sold out a month in advance, and the event was a sell-out success.

TASC would like to thank Dave, Lincoln South Blue Watch, all the fighters, and everyone who supported the event through ticket sales, raffles, and donations.

Your support helps us continue our mission to care for the mental, physical and financial well-being of the UK’s ambulance community.
