On 17th July 2021 at Penrhyn Slate Quarry in North Wales, Dr Jennifer Wild, an international expert on mental health in emergency responders, will be travelling 1.5km at a breath-taking 100mph on Zip World’s Velocity 2 zipline to raise vital funds for TASC, the national charity dedicated to supporting the UK’s ambulance community.

Dr Jennifer Wild, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Associate Professor and NIHR Oxford Health BRC Senior Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, said:

“I am seizing the opportunity to zipline with TASC to raise money for the very people who dedicate their lives to protecting our health, our wonderful paramedics.”

Jasmin Rana, TASC’s Director of Income Generation and Supporter Engagement said:

“We’re so excited that Jennifer has chosen to fundraise for TASC! Ambulance staff already have one of the most stressful jobs in the UK. The continuing impact of Coronavirus is making their difficult job that much harder, and at TASC we’re seeing a rapid increase in demand for our services as ambulance staff experience the mental, physical and financial impacts of the pandemic.

Now more than ever, we need support of people like Jennifer to continue being an independent source of support for the UK’s ambulance community in their time of need. The funds that Jenifer raises will make a big difference to the people we help – raising £1,000 will help us provide an extra 16 hours of mental health support or 19 sessions of physiotherapy for people injured in the line of duty.”
