Captain Tom captured the hearts worldwide and was an inspiration to us all, showing us that we can do anything if we really put our minds to it. Friday 30th April would have been Captain Tom’s 101st birthday and to honour him and his amazing achievements, The Captain Tom Foundation is hosting the Captain Tom 100 fundraising event over his birthday weekend for people of all ages and abilities to raise money for charity.

To raise money for TASC as part of the Captain Tom 100 challenge, all participants need to do to take part is do 100 of something between Friday 30th April and Monday 3rd May. The challenge can be absolutely anything:

  • Do 100 sit-ups
  • Make 100 pancakes
  • Live stream 100 jokes
  • Bake 100 cupcakes
  • Learn 100 words of a new language
  • Wear a crazy costume for 100 minutes

The possibilities are endless, but if you need inspiration, there’s plenty of ideas in our fundraising pack. Whatever you decide to do, have fun and do it your way!

By taking part in this event you will be joining 1000s of others to celebrate the life of Captain Tom while also helping to raise vital funds for ambulance staff who have worked tirelessly during this pandemic to protect us. Your fundraising efforts will go a long way to support the UK’s lifesaving ambulance community during their time of need so that they too an hope of that their   ‘Tomorrow will be a good day”.
