Become a TASC Peer Support Volunteer and support the wellbeing of your colleagues!
What is a Peer Support Volunteer?
At the core of peer support is the belief that only those who have been through a difficult experience can truly understand what someone going through a similar experience is feeling. TASC Peer Support Volunteers offer a listening ear, empathy and support to colleagues within the ambulance service.
What the workshop will cover
The aim of the workshop is to:
- give you a better understanding of the services TASC provides
- empower you to offer support to colleagues and peers in their time of need
- show you how to deal with difficult conversations more effectively
We will be bringing together professionals in the fields of mental health, debt management and bereavement into one training session. This is a rare opportunity for you to have quality time with our experts, including group discussions and asking any questions you may have.
Refreshments will be provided throughout the day and all attendees are invited to a buffet lunch which will served between 1.00pm and 2.00pm.
